How do amaryllis bulbs reproduce?

You can reproduce an Amaryllis sexually (with Pollen) or vegetatively.





It is very easy to pollinate an Amaryllis all you do is transfer the pollen onto the stamen of the same plant. Some of them like 'Apple Blossom' won't usually take it's own pollen so you need the pollen from another Amaryllis.





They will also produce offsets at the base of the bulb and you can repot them when they get larger.





You can also propagate an Amaryllis vegetatively by cutting it into sections and planting the chopped up bulb in soil or perlite.
