Can I divide an amaryllis bulb>?

dee K is right. But also an important note is - you need to remove the flower after the bloom fades and be sure not to let the seed pods set as all the energy of the bulb will go into ripening the seeds and not back into the bulb and or the baby bulbs that will form around the bottom.

Can I divide an amaryllis bulb%26gt;?
how do you plan to divide a single bulb, you will loose the bulb if you try.Mature bulbs have bulblets around them, when these are of a reasonable size they can be potted up as new bulbs %26amp; that would give you a new plant, that is how bulbs are propogated
