What methods have worked best for you to make amaryllis rebloom the following year?

I am an experienced gardner but have difficulty getting my bulbs to rebloom. I do know about giving them a dormant period. I even put then in a refrigerator and maintain a 50 degree cool environment but still have problems.

What methods have worked best for you to make amaryllis rebloom the following year?
Keep watering as before and give it a liquid feed once a week until April. Then it can go outside until September. Then repot it and bring it indoors and put it on a sunny windowsill.Water regularlly and it should flower later in the year.Do not put in fridge
Reply:believe it or not, mine bloomed for christmas(i live in ct),i let leaves die and dry...threw it in a closet, forgot about for a long time....and wah la...when i remembered it, it had 3 inches of new growth...it was yellow due to lack of light...but greened right up and bloomed
